Chana Masala, or spiced chickpeas, is a quick, healthy and absolutely delicious dish that can be found in variations across the Indian subcontinent. Our version simply combines the chickpeas with our masala and olive oil, but can also serve as a base for experimentation!
Our Chana Masala is slightly acidic, with a nice balance of earthiness, mild heat and bright ginger. Pair Chana Masala with naan or roti, rice or try it atop a salad or sandwich for a quick lunch.

You'll Need:
1 15-oz. can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
2 c. water
1 tbsp. olive oil
1 tbsp. Chana Masala
Preparation:
1. Simmer chickpeas with at least 2 cups of water for 25 minutes. Drain, reserving 1/2 c. of cooking liquid.
2. In a pot, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add chickpeas and Chana Masala. Stir to coat evenly.
3. Add reserved cooking liquid and simmer 5-7 min.
4. Serve with naan or rice or as a salad topper and enjoy!
